The BuildSafe Security Service is really very simple and works as follows:

BuildSafe then contacts both parties to finalise the details and to arrange payment of the Security Amount (deposit) and the
BuildSafe Registration Fee;

Once payment is made of the
Security Amount and
Fee, BuildSafe leaves the parties to carry on with the project although we are happy to talk to you during the project if you have any questions or concerns.
- When the Builder thinks that the work is nearly finished, the builder sends a Notice to the Owner and, if the Owner agrees, BuildSafe releases 90% of the money held by it. In some instances the Owner will not agree that the works are practically complete and BuildSafe will then help the parties resolve that difference quickly.
- BuildSafe then gives the Owner 20 working days to closely look at the works and to tell the Builder of any problems or defects with the work - which the builder will then remedy.
- Once this is finished, the builder gives another Notice to the Owner and if the Owner agrees all the work is properly done, the final money held by BuildSafe is paid to the Builder.
